The Karnataka State Eligibility Test (K-SET) center, University of Mysore, Mysore had conducted the examination on 23rd October 2011 for determining the eligibility for Lectureship in various Universities/Colleges/Institutions of Higher Education (Government/Aided/ Private) in Karnataka State. The examination was conducted for in 26 (twenty six) different subjects at 11 (Eleven) selected Centers spread across the Karnataka State

Candidates who qualify the K-SET will be governed by the rules and regulations for recruitment of lecturers/ Assistant professorship of the concerned Universities/Colleges /Institutions of Higher Education (Government/ Aided/ Private) in Karnataka State.

Candidate who qualify the test are eligible to apply for the post of Lectureship/ Assistant professorship, ONLY in the Karnataka State.
